compact measuring station
TechnoTeam社のKMP(コンパクトメジャーリングステーション)
compact measuring station
The compact measuring station realizes an indirect LID measurement, by additionally using an optical imaging system for reducing the photometric
distance by imaging the light distribution into the focal plane. Any parallel emitted light source rays are imaged in one point. So parallel emitted rays with same angels will be imaged on specific points, one point for each angle, within the focal plane. The size of the imaging system is the definition of all ray-bundle passing the lens and been imaged onto the focal plane.
If the focal plane is then registered with its spatial resolution, and if the geometrical and photometric relations between the light source (in spherical coordinates) and the focal plane (in camera coordinates) are known,
the luminous intensity can be calculated from the image of the luminance. To assist with light scattering, reflective walls or difusion screens are used in this case also.
If the photometric distance at, for example, a digital image processing measuring station for a car headlamp is 10 m, a CMS will enable that distance to be reduced to 40 cm. Depending on the light source being measured, and the optical imaging system this permits, the photometric distance may be shortened even further. The resulting space requiremenst are very compact.
